Tour Camp Wildflecken
Ever thought about coming to Camp Wildflecken?
With the help of BORDERTOURS it's possible!
BORDERTOURS DOES THE FOLLOWING FOR YOU:
- Finding a place to stay
We will find you a high quality hotel with English speaking staff, decent prices, and super service.
- Pick up from the airport
We meet you at the airport and get you to the hotel.
- Arranging a visit of Post Wildflecken with the German Military
Camp Wildflecken is still a military post. Visitors have to be checked in by somebody authorized by the German Army Post Commander. We will do all the arrangements and finally get you on post.
- Show you around the post and the on-post museum
We know all the "sites" and lead you to them. If you have any information, like building numbers where your relatives lived after the war, please let us know. We have old site plans and the possibility of finding the building is relatively high.
The on-post-museum tells the history of the place. It gives you an complete overview of the past. Unfortunately it's not open to the public. We will arrange a visit and give you a tour of Camp Wildfleckens history from it's beginning in 1936 up to today.
- Visit of the Polish Cemetery
The Wildflecken Polish Cemetery is the largest Polish cemetery outside of Poland. It was completely remodeled in the 1970s. The Polish embassy in Germany visits the cemetery on a regular basis.
- Anything else? You name it and we try to make it happen!
An English speaking guide who knows the history and is able to answer all your questions will be with you all the time!
Send 'em an email right away and tell 'em what you want them to do for you.
