Janie's Memories
During the Christmas holidays, evergreens were cut and brought into the barracks to celebrate the seasons.
Winters were bitterly cold, with heavy snowfalls.

Trees that kept the camp well-hidden were cut down and used to feed the woodburning stoves for heat and to bake tons of bread on a daily basis.
Eventually the camp was devoid of it's heavy forestation.

December 1947, another Christmas at the camp... celebrating with son, Adam.
